I have so many memories of my sweet Uncle Gene it is hard to pick just one.  I remember hiding in Dad's office in the milk parlor talking on the phone to my boyfriend and watching Uncle Gene walk into the pole barn when all of a sudden it collapsed.  I never seen him come out and ran out side standing in front of it screaming for him, all of a sudden I hear behind me WHAT, WHAT.what did you do lol?  I wanted to pound on him at that moment but all I could do was hug him for not being in that barn and cry.    Another time he took Bob and I skiing in Middleville, mind you I have never been on  a pair of ski's  in my life and when we got to the top of the hill he pushed me down.  Well I took out a few people and rolled most of the way but when I got to the bottom I could not get back up the tow rope for at least and hour or longer.  He proceeded to take me home and tie me to the back of the snowmobile on his ski's and run me all over the farm until I learned to stand up on them.  He then paid for all of us to have lessons.  Another time Kim Jenkins and I were on his snowmobile and he was the third person sitting in the way back and we were out with others just having fun, he was back seat driving the whole time and all of a sudden another snowmobile came up behind me and said I think you lost a passenger.  Sure enough he was sitting back on the bump he told me to slow down going over lol.  I might add he wasn't very happy.    Another time I was out riding Goldie ( our horse ) and he was in the gravel pit on the bobcat and I went up over the hill full gallop and game back over the hill riding my saddle under her holding on for dear life.  He just shook his head at me like I was trying to show him a new stunt.  Never came to my rescue that day lol.  There are sooooo many of these stories that I could go on forever, but he will be forever in my heart and I will never forget all the fun times growing up on the farm with my Uncle Gene.
