Isabella D. Selvig, 93, of Byron Center passed gently into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, April 19, 2014 with her family by her side. Isabella was born on October 25, 1920 in Byron Center to Steve and Gertrude (Roeluf) Miller. She will be dearly missed by her children: Marie (Ken) Baxter, Karen Edema, Pearl (Edward) Trojanowski, Lloyd Selvig, Diane (Richard) Boyles, David (Suzanne) Selvig, Daryl (Grace) Selvig, daughter-in-law Kate Grunwell, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Isabella was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Sylvester Selvig, sons-in-law James Edema and Larry Cornell, daughter-in-law Judy Selvig and grandsons Timothy and Michael Hendges. Isabella retired from General Motors on 36th Street in Grand Rapids after 29 years. She will be remembered most for how she cherished her family and made all of them feel special and loved. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Sebastian, 9408 Wilson Ave. Byron Center, MI on Saturday, April 26th at 10:30 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to the Mass. Interment will be with her husband at St. Sebastian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
