Orville Hazen

Orville Hazen, age 89, passed away September 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan; his sister Leatha; his brothers: Royal (Joan), Herbert, and Raymond; and his great-granddaughter Alissa. Orville will be lovingly remembered by his children: Joyce (Steve) Farrell, Carol (Bill) Genther, Raymond (Kathy) Hazen, Patricia (Glenn) Avery, Shirley (Alan) Schouw, and Barb (Jerry) Klunder; grandchildren: Steven Farrell, Jr., Patrick (Patti) Farrell, and John (Meredith) Farrell, Tracey (Jeff) Muoio, Jason Genther, Amber (Ken) Gould, Lorrain Avery, Devin Avery, Angie Whitaker, and Jennifer, Stacy, Curtis and Kelly Klunder; step-grandchildren: Joey, Steve, Sherri, Julie, Kathy, and Lori; many great-grandchildren; sisters: Viola and Orpha Hazen; sisters and brother-in-laws: Thelma, Helen, and Jack Deering and Mary Antor; and several nieces and nephews. Orville was a proud World War II Veteran. He retired from Grand Rapids Gravel. Friends may visit with Orville's family on Friday, September 12, 2014, from 6-8 PM at the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, 3562 136th Ave, Hamilton, MI 49419, along with one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the church, with Pastor Mark Inman officiating. Interment at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
