

Ruthelaine Amborski, age 83 of Wayland, reunited with her husband in Heaven on November 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald Rudolph Amborski, in 2004. She will lovingly be remembered by her children: Donald George (Gwendolyn), Stephen (Cherilyn) Robert, Sr. (Laura) and Ruth Ann Amborski; grandchildren: Henry James, Donald Raymond, Marilynn Ann, Carl Steven, Samuel Christian, Robert Alan, Jr., Matthew Thomas, Jacinth Balnur, Lainey Ray, Emilyn Joy, Krisanna Grace, and Hunter Stephen; sister-in-law: Sue Macomber; and several nieces and nephews. Ruthelaine was born May 7, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to Emile George Macomber and Ruth Elizabeth (Christiansen) Macomber. She received her bachelor's degree and her R.N. certificate. Ruthelaine served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain in the Korean War. She was stationed as a flight nurse with the 6481st Aegp. While in Japan she met Don Amborski, and the couple was married on June 13, 1958. For 35 years they served as missionaries to Zambia with AEF Mission; he as a pilot and her as a nurse. They raised their children in the U.S. and Zambia, and taught them their love of God and His people. In 1979, Ruthelaine and Don retired to Wayland, where they attended the Calvary Church of Wayland. Ruthelaine enjoyed painting. A memorial service for Ruthelaine will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2 PM at the Wayland Calvary Church, with Pastor Mike Hasper and Pastor Ken McGee officiating, followed by military honors. A private graveside will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Ruthelaine to www.smat.edu, the School of Missionary Aviation Technology.
