Walter L. Leigh, age 78 of Middleville formerly of Concord, North Carolina, passed away March 12, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Lillie Leigh. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his children Tabatha and Mike Rogers, Cindy and Randy Thompson, and Mark Leigh; grandchildren: Josh Thompson, Chelsie Thompson, Elizabeth Rogers, Jeffrey Rogers, Mark Leigh, Jessica Leigh and Savanah Leigh; several great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Leigh Richardson; and several nieces and nephews. Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Walter was a retired Lieutenant Deputy Sheriff from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
