Albert Lowell Walters

Albert L. Walters of League City, Texas, passed away at the age of 91 on January 27, 2018. He was born in Mena, Arkansas on September 11, 1926 to Jason C. and Ola F. Walters. Al grew up in Baker, Oklahoma, and married Joye Phillips of Hooker, Oklahoma in 1943. He served in the Army during WWII. He retired as a Field Superintendent from Diamond Shamrock Corporation in 1986, and enjoyed fishing and refinishing antique furniture. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 366, American Legion of US Veterans Association, and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Al is survived by his wife of 74 years, Joye Walters, daughter Judy and son-in-law Jim Hembree, grandchildren Tamara Keene and Mark Hembree, and great grandchildren Taylor and Branden Keene. He is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Family inurnment services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
