

Alton Leon entered the army in 1950. While stationed in Japan he went on leave into Seoul, Korea and met and married Yung Ye Cho November 12, 1965. After retiring from the army in November 1972, Leon and family settled in Pasadena, TX in May 1973. Alton worked at Union Equity Grain Elevator in Deer Park, TX until 1991 when he retired. Since retirement Alton enjoyed reading books, collecting coins, watching old timey TV shows and going to First Baptist Church of Pasadena, especially. Alton Leon has been a member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena since moving into Pasadena. He really enjoyed and loved his two grandkids, Lauren and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Walter and Edward Wayne Wallace, and a sister, Geraldine Woodall.
He is survived by his wife, Yung Ye; oldest son, Yung Kuk and wife Vanessa of Houston; only daughter, Terri Lynn of La Porte; youngest son, Walter Leon of Pasadena; brother, Ray Wallace of Vidor; sister, Helen Henson of Woodville; sister-in-law, Juanita Wallace of Houston; 2 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm with funeral service to follow at 12:30 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
