

Anthony "Tony" Raymond Gabrysch, 83, of Nassau Bay, Texas, passed away February 11.2026. He was born in Ganado, Texas on September 26,1942 to Emry and Lillian Gabrysch. He was married to Mary Elizabeth (M.E.) for 30 years.
Tony worked in construction management for some of the larger utility construction companies in the Houston area including Kinsel Industries and Jalco. His work involved underground utilities, the building of lift stations, and the last segment of the San Antonio River Walk.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3421 in Edna, Texas as well as the National Guard. Tony had a passion for fishing, hunting, and golf. He also loved going to the casinos, but that was not always relaxing. Tony was an avid viewer of all college sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Freddy Gabrysch, and Archie Gabrysch. Sisters, Velma Gabrysch Davidson, Barbara Gabrysch Sims, Shirley Gabrysch Morton, and infant sister, Linda Gabrysch.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth (M.E.) Carmody Happel. Son, Anthony Gabrysch, Jr. and wife, Connie of Alvin, Texas; daughter, Michelle Gabrysch Stevens, and husband, Mark of Muenster, Texas; step-son, Patrick Mickley of San Diego, California. Grandchildren, Courtney Stevens of Fort Worth, Texas; Brittany Gabrysch and fiance, Bubba Gough, of Sealy, Texas; Clay Stevens and wife, Elle, of Woodward, Oklahoma; and Cade Stevens of Muenster, Texas. Great-grandchildren, Grayson Stevens, and Brynn Stevens of Woodward, Oklahoma. He was also survived by his sister, Teresa Gabrysch Veselka of Hilje, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Above all Tony loved his family and was happiest when he was surrounded by them. He relished in attending school and athletic functions of his grandchildren. His great-grandchildren were very young and lived far away, but each new picture sent his way was always welcomed with a huge smile.
