Bernice R. Wilson passed away February 17, 2013. She was born September 22, 1921 in Homer, Louisiana to Henry Carter Mullins and Willie Mae Anderson Mullins. Bernice was retired from Ben Taub Hospital where she worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor for over 30 years. Bernice loved her family and church family. She was an active member of Braeburn Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and working with the church. Bernice will be remembered as a lady who never met a stranger was loving, giving and a mother that always prayed for her children. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Baker Wilson. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth (wife, Melinda) Wilson and George Wilson; three daughters, Donna Wilson, Linda (husband, Eason) Bethea and Anita (husband, Joe) Schroeder; Fifteen Grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation is from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Braeburn Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
