Betty Faye Emmite, 92, passed away on April 23, 2026. Born on January 17, 1934, in Sealy, TX, she grew up in Eagle Lake, TX on a farm—roots that stayed with her throughout a long life marked by steady kindness and a giving spirit. She was a resident of Dickinson, Texas.
Betty was married for 65 years to her beloved husband, Anthony "Tony" James Emmite, who preceded her in death. In the care she showed to those around her, and in the quiet ways she made others feel welcomed and remembered, Betty was truly cherished. Her generosity was not something she announced; it was something people simply came to know through her presence and the way she lived.
Betty found joy in life’s simple, enduring beauties. She had a love for horses, blue bonnets and red cardinals. She also enjoyed an occasional Coors Light! These small pleasures reflected her warm appreciation for the world around her.
She also gave faithfully of her time and loyalty in her community. Betty was a life member of the VFW Post 6378 in Dickinson, TX for 35 years and served as Banner Bearer for the Post Auxiliary, offering steady support and devotion in a role that honored both service and fellowship.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Amalie Meier; and her husband, Anthony "Tony" James Emmite. She is survived by her daughters, Carla Emmite (Mick Jenkins) and Sheila Webb (Glenn Doelitsch); her grandchildren, Donna Hood and William Hood (Kayla); and her great grandchild, William Hood.
