

Bobby Stansel Rushing passed into the arms of Jesus at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Bobby was born on April 29, 1943 in Kennard, Texas where he grew up the youngest of three brothers and five sisters Alene Rushing Worchester, William “Buck” Rushing, Ralph “Bill” Rushing, Helen Rushing Tippy, JC Rushing, Fannie Jo Rushing Strickland, Ima Rushing Burson, Wanda Rushing Leary. He is preceded in death by Father: Asa Rushing; Mother: Irene Vaughn Rushing; Brothers: JC Rushing, Buck Rushing, Bill Rushing; Sisters: Alene Worchester, Helen Tippy, Fannie Jo Strickland; Brother-in-law: JD Burson; Nephew: Johnny Burson; Niece: Connie Scott. He is survived by loving wife, Judy Tatum Rushing; Children: Iva “Tina” Foster, Bobby Wayne and Ricci Rushing, Michelle Montoya, Michael Honea; Grandchildren: Morgan Foster, Courtney Suen, Samuel Foster, Haley Stevens, Kirby Foster, Brittani Rushing, Jessica Rushing, Victoria Rushing, Rose Rushing, Angela Rushing; Great grandchildren: Hayden Goss, Owen Coleman, Dean Stevens. Sisters: Ima Burson and Wanda Leary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bobby enjoyed a productive and rewarding career as an operator at Goodyear Chemical plant from which he retired after 32 years. He then worked 7 years for Salvation Army and recently retired. He enjoyed his work for the Salvation Army driving the elderly to different events. He was a member of Golden Acres church and drove the bus at church for their youth and worked on their grounds committee. He was a man of God who spoke few words, but made them count. He was a loving husband and father and a true friend. He was a man of character living out his faith. He was always ready and available to help when you had a need. He was greatly loved and will be passionately missed.
