Brian Scally

Brian Scally, 78, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on October 13, 2023. Brian was born in Scotland and immigrated to the US when he was six. The family made their home in Gresham, Oregon. He enlisted in the Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1967, receiving many medals; Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Bronze Star Medal.

His faith in our Lord was very strong and he was very proud of his service in the Army. There was never a person Brian met that he did not share his personality with. He was very caring and giving. His hobbies were fishing and golf.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father: John and Jenny Scally; brothers: John Scally and Alan Scally.

He is survived by his wife: Chris Wilder; stepson: Rhett Wilder; step grandchildren: Adrian and Alyssa Wilder; daughter: Melissa and her husband Matt Peterson; grandchildren: Eli and Arden Peterson; son: Daniel Scally and his 3 children; sister: Jean and her husband Dwayne Bush and their children: Katie Marie Bollinger, Jenny Sue Peek, Melinda Krysten Lloyd, Kimberlee Anne Bush; sister-in-law: Christina Scally and her children: Erin Barrett and Brynn Scally.

A memorial service for Brian will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the family.
