Bruce Vaughn Sr.

Bruce Vaughn Sr., 91, of Pearland, TX passed away on February 13, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 23, 1933, to Frank E. Vaughn and Sarah Heller Vaughn. He was married to Elli Rickert Vaughn for 71 years.

He was a member of the United States Air Force. After he left the Air Force, he went to the Long Beach State College in California and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in business in 1964. He worked for Hughes Aircraft while he lived in California and transitioned to TRW in Houston, TX where he retired as VP Operations Manager.

He had a passion for cars and loved building and watching his son, Bruce Vaughn Jr. race cars on many weekends for 11 years. He loved playing golf and spent many hours on the course. There was not a sport that he did not like watching but football was his favorite. His favorite team to watch was the Philadelphia Eagles. He was very happy to see that they recently won the Superbowl. He loved watching the Astros and played baseball when he was a young boy. He played on a men’s softball league while he worked in California. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his older brother Frank Edward Vaughn and his wife Elli Rickert Vaughn

He is survived by his younger brother Ronald Vaughn of West Chester, Pennsylvania; his children, Elli, Debbi, Caye, and Bruce Jr.; his grandchildren, Jason, Tiemi, Tracy, Chris, and Amanda; along with his great-grandchildren; Haiden, Brody, Gavin, Ethan, Jaeda, Ambria, and Dallas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home Located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, TX and a reception will follow the service.
