Celia (Connie) Elizabeth Bridges, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away May 28, 2012, at the age of 78. She was born on April 9, 1934, to John and Dorothie Bond in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. She was an only child and grew up in Lansford, Pennsylvania. She married Herman H. Bridges, January 26, 1955. They were married 51 years when he passed away in 2006.
She lived for her children; for they were her joy. Her love for them and her grandchildren was expressed each day in her prayers, thoughts, actions, and words. She was a great example to us all of how to let Christ break through into this dark world and make our lives more bright. Connie was an active member of Shadycrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two children: John (Jack) Bridges; and wife, Tanya Bridges; Edward (Ward) Bridges; and wife, Dana Bridges; six grandchildren, Bryan; Morgan; Grayson; Tyler; Parker; and Hayden.
We will miss her dearly and look forward to that day when we will walk with her again on the golden streets of heaven.
