Charlyn will never be forgotten by those who had the opportunity to be a part of her life, whether that opportunity was as a student, friend, or family. She began her career at Splendora Junior High School in August 1979 and spent the next 37 years teaching 7th and 8th grade History. After retirement, she found a new group of students at the College of the Mainland in Texas City where she taught Brazilian Embroidery, a technique as beautiful as Charlyn.
Charlyn was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Charlotte Walker, and brothers Royce, Douglas and David Walker.
She is survived by her sister, Karen Walker Beuchaw (Wayne), nephew, Darren Walker, and niece, Shannon Walker Wise (Gary).
A visitation will be held on February 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US.
The funeral service will follow on February 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the same location.
A committal service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
