Daniel faithfully served his country as a Marine during the Viet Nam War. He even received a Purple Heart for his bravery. After the war, Daniel became a Master Carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed going to the flea market and refurnishing the furniture pieces he would find there. He also loved fishing and going to the casino. He was known for his obsession with Nesquik, his favorite drink.
He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Alice Ivy, brother Clifford Ivy, and sons Donald Ivy and James Franklin.
Left to cherish Daniel’s memory is his son Daniel Ray Ivy Jr., and daughter Kellyann Ivy Palma, Son in law Joseph Palma Jr. Brothers Christopher Ivy, Bill Ivy, Bradley Ivy, including their wives. His extended family including Shirley Franklin, Robert Franklin, Patsy Dennison, and Charles Fagnana. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Burial has taken place in Forest Park East Cemetery.
