The third of seven children, Darlene was born October 28, 1949 in Pampa, Texas. She graduated from Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas, where she met her sweetheart and life-long love, Harry. Darlene and Harry were married in 1967, and made their home on El Toro Street, where they lived their entire married life together. In 2014, they built a new home to retire in and enjoy their children and grandchildren.
Darlene started her career in veterinary medicine after her children were mostly grown. She started as a receptionist, but with her kind and gentle personality, strong business acumen, and uncommon work ethic, she quickly advanced. Darlene retired in 2014 as the much-loved manager of VCA Animal Emergency Hospital at Calder Road.
Darlene had a passion for art and music, for life, and for family. Over the years she has made countless memories with her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren - often taking them on adventures, cooking, creating craft projects and memory books, and teaching important life lessons.
Darlene is survived by her husband Harry Bartholomew, Jr.; son Trey Bartholomew; daughter Sheila Luttrell and husband Steve; and grandchildren Lucas and Lindsey Luttrell, all of League City, Texas. She is also survived by her parents, Mary Louise Ozbun, and Clyde Edward “Jack” Ozbun, of Granbury, Texas; siblings Kelly Sisco of Ft. Worth, Texas, Christy Brown and husband Rod of Forney, Texas, Steve Ozbun and wife Betty of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Kathy and Raymond Morrow, Jr. of Friendswood, Texas; nieces and nephews Rhonda Gindro of Littleton, Colorado; Charlotta Poe and husband Brian of Spring, Texas; Cody Porter of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Bud Porter and wife Tara of Denton, Texas; Melissa Hostetter and husband Erik of Springfield, Illinois; Allison Mitchell and husband Tanner of Panhandle, Texas; Andrew Ozbun of New York, New York; Dale Morrow and wife Ardita of League City, Texas; Jack Morrow and wife Megan of Buda, Texas; Adam Morrow of Friendswood, Texas; and Erin Morrow of League City, Texas.
