David Scott Berglund

David Scott Berglund, age 60, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. He was born in Jefferson, Louisiana on October 31, 1963 to Billy and Elberta Berglund. He was married to Rebecca Meek for 8 years and Carrie Malcolm for 5 years. David had a career in computer tech for Boeing and Dell among other companies. David joined the United States Air Force in June of 1985 where he served 8 years in active military and was recognized for the following achievements: Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, NCO PME Graduation Ribbon and the Air Force Training Ribbon. After the Air Force, David went to college at Alvin Community College for a degree in computer technology and had a passion for computers, old movies, and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Billy Berglund and Elberta Berglund, his brother; Victor Berglund, and his aunt; Maxine Alcorn.

David is survived by his only daughter; Katherine (Sean) Phillips, his one grandchild; Joshua Berglund, his brother; Keith (Joan) Berglund, nephews; Daniel Berglund, Joey (Dawn) Berglund, Michael and William Berglund, his neice; Lauren Berglund. He is also survived by his late brothers wife; Carol Berglund, as well as other family including Mary Schumacher, Cassandra McClellan, Cindy Myer, and Susan Bayer.
