David Henkel Owen

David Henkel Owen passed away after a long illness on December 13 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his two precious children: daughter Jennifer Michelle Owen, age 11 and son David Douglas Owen, age 8; his father, David Hugh Owen and wife Martha; his mother, Roberta Gundstrom Martin and husband Leonard; and his sister Angela Elizabeth Owen. He was preceded in death by his older sister Antoinette "Toni" Owen.

David was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico on April 25, 1960. The family moved to the Clear Lake area in 1964. David attended Seabrook Elementary and graduated from Clear Lake High school in 1978. He attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

He moved to Las Vegas in the mid-90s, married and began his own family. He was a successful sales manager and installation supervisor for a flooring, tile and carpeting company. In 2005 he returned to Texas with his children and settled in the Hill Country in Boerne, Texas. .

David will be interred after a private family service at the Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas. The family wishes to thank their many friends for all the prayers offered in his behalf.
