

He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 10, 1965, to Billy E. and Malendia H. Williams. He was married to Amy Lynn Williams for 29 years.
David A. Williams had a career as a consultant, as an instructor, and as a software developer. He worked for Lamar University (Beaumont and Orange Campuses) as a Developer for Gulf Coast Hazardous Substance Research Center, Adjunct Instructor for Computer Science Department, and a business analyst for Electronic Commerce Resource Center. Then he moved to Friendswood with his wife Amy Lynn Williams. He found a new position at Digital Consulting and Software Services, Inc., and a few years later was laid off. Then was hired by Barrios Technology as a Senior Engineer and Developer, contracted to NASA. After this contract ended, he was hired by Wyle Science and Technology and Engineering and working on NASA’s Bioastronautics and Human Health and Performance contract. Then KBR took over the Wyle contract, and David worked for KBR until his death. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America as an assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 1598, a Commissioner of the Sam Houston Council of the BSA and a Boy Scout father for over 14 years. He was an active member of the National Rifle Association and NRA instructor. He was a homeschool dad to our sons and was a member of the Texas Homeschool Coalition. His passions were loving Jesus as his Savior, homeschooling our sons, working with the youth, camping, hiking, woodworking, electronics, rebuilding computers, fixing cars and just being a father and a husband.
He is preceded in death by Billy E. and Malendia H. Williams, his father and mother.
He is survived by Amy Lynn Williams, wife, John David, and Scott Jacob Williams, his sons.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29, 2024, at 7 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Webster located at 420 Slossen St. in Webster to be followed by a reception.
