Donald Ervin Anderson

Donald (Donnie) Ervin Anderson, 74, of Cypress, Texas passed away on March 18, 2024. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 5, 1949 to Sally Agnes Anderson and Andrew Betro Anderson. He was married to Laura Singer Anderson for 45 years. Donnie dedicated over 25 years of his career to Shell Oil Refinery in Deer Park before retiring in 2007.

Donnie and Laura resided in La Porte and Deer Park, Texas before relocating to Cypress, Texas in 2017. Donnie was a member of the Deer Park Masonic Lodge and First Baptist Church of Deer Park. He had an avid love for University of Alabama Football (Roll Tide!) earning him the nickname of “Bama” from friends and family. A parrot head at heart, Donnie never failed to sing along with Jimmy Buffet, and when he wasn’t watching Alabama football, he was probably fully engrossed in a favorite movie such as Gladiator or Forrest Gump.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Betro Anderson and Sally Agnes Anderson, and his sisters Sylvia Street and Perry Ann Shewmake.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Anderson, and their three children Andrew Anderson, Amber Smith and husband Jason, and Austen Anderson; and his three grandchildren, Bella, Sawyer, and Finn, as well as many friends and family.
