Dorothy Alma Elmore, 97, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away August 3, 2016. She was born in Blum, Texas on July 19, 1919 to Nannie Ozella Ross and Floyd William Isenberg. She was married to Lynn Woodrow Elmore for 37 years. Dorothy worked as a Food Service Bookkeeper for the Pasadena Independent School District for 25 years.
She enjoyed making various crafts, crocheting, gardening and traveling. She was an avid reader and liked working word search puzzles.
Dorothy was preceded in death by mother, Nannie Ozella Ross; Father, Floyd William Isenberg; son in laws Joe Kelly, and James Raymond Bennett; grandson James Michael Bennett.
She was survived in death by daughters, Judy Kelly and Patricia Bennett; granddaughters Tanna Bennett, Donna Traylor, April Rangel, Debbie Stark; grandson, Monte “Bubba” Kelly; and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a visitation 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, August 8, 2016 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, 12:30 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2016.
