Earnest Wayne Berry, 79, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015. He was born in Sardis, Texas on February 2, 1936 to Rhodes and Novella Berry. He was married to Alice Marie Hafernick for 56 years. Earnest Wayne had a career at Dow Chemical for 30 years and retired in 1992. He had a passion for fishing, hunting and baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rhodes and Novella Berry; and sister, Mary Juanita Brown. Earnest Wayne is survived by his wife, Alice Berry; daughters Robbin Reed and Jennifer Brown; brothers Hollis Berry and Gene Berry; grandchildren Joshua W. Fey and wife Jessica, Logan D. Reed, Savannah Brown and Cassidy Brown; great-grandchildren Nicholas Fey, Victoria Fey, Jordan Hardy, Makalee Hardy and Tyler Fey. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Earnest Wayne’s Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
