Esperanza Deleon

Esperanza Arismendez DeLeon, 96, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 3, 1920 to Celedonio and Eva Arismendez. She was married to Adeliado DeLeon Sr. for 63 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Celedonio and Eva Arismendez; husband Adelaido DeLeon Sr.; son Adelaido DeLeon; stepson Frank DeLeon; granddaughters, Diana Quinn and Kimberly Walker.

She is survived by her children, Ramiro DeLeon, Perla Morales, Eva Walker, Velma Cano and husband Fred, Adelaido DeLeon Jr. and wife Gwen, Lilia Rodriguez and husband Robert, and daughter in law Audelia DeLeon, 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 10 great great gradchildren.

Esperanza will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, as Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma, she also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her smile, her laughter, her caring ways will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will forever remain in our memories and in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Funeral Services to follow at 12:30 pm. Interment Forest Park East Cemetery.
