Eutrice Elsie James
26 octubre , 1941 – 27 noviembre , 2019
Eutrice Elsie James was born on October 26, 1941 to parents Jane Daniel and George Edmund (who are both deceased). She was the second of ten children and the first girl. Eutrice was married and had two daughters Karen Huggins and Karla James-Noland. Her daughter, Karla is married to Demarcus Noland and she gave her three grandsons Dischon and Dorell Thomas and Dylan Noland.
As the oldest girl, Eutrice behaved like a mother to many of her siblings. Eutrice’s family did not have many of the luxuries that many children have today. She would always talk about what she did and how she helped her mother care for her siblings. Her gardening skills came as a result of what she saw at home over the years. All the vegetables needed to prepare meals were grown and harvested from her garden in the backyard. Not only did Eutrice enjoy gardening, she also loved sewing. Eutrice designed and made clothing for children and herself. She was also involved in sewing clothing for missions which she did with great joy to the very end. Eutrice was a fighter! She endured many challenges in life and even to the end she fought “the good fight” and finished with a smile.
Eutrice had a challenging experience weathering the storms of Melanoma Cancer and on Wednesday, November 27 at 3:29 pm, at that final moment, she left us with a smile on her face, reminding us that God knows best and He is in control. She is survived by her children Karen Huggins and Karla James-Noland. Son-in-law, Demarcus Noland, grandchildren, Dischon and Dorell Thomas, and Dylan Noland. Brothers - Mervyn, Neil, Gebre Amlak, Russell, Michael, and Robert Daniel. Sisters - Frances Arthur and Jennifer Charles. In-Laws - Andrea (Baby) Daniel, Philip (Carl) Arthur, and Martin Charles. She was the Aunt to many nephews and nieces and a host of great nephews and great nieces. Her special friends were Louise Holder and Gloria John (and together along Eutrice were known as the “The Golden Girls”) and their families.
Eutrice will also be fondly remembered by her Sunday school class, VBS volunteers, and her brothers and sisters from many mission trips. Her smile and words of encouragement to those she encountered will always be remembered. It is a difficult time for us, but we know her pain is over, and she has won the VICTORY because of her loving Savior Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A Celebration of Eutrice's life will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by a committal service at Forest Park East Cemetery and a reception from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
