

Mrs. Evelyn Boldt passed peacefully on June 30th, 2011. She was 89 years old. Evelyn was born on August 17, 1921 in Taylor, Texas, and raised in Thrall until she met and married William Boldt at 16 years of age.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, the late William Boldt. She is survived by two children, Marilyn Baker, and Barbara Haden (husband Raymond Haden); grand children Mary Campo (husband Enrique Campo), Pete Baker (fiance Rosie Puccio), Michael Haden (wife Kristy Haden), and Stephen Haden (wife Jenny Haden); great-grandchildren Sara Campo, Andrew Campo and Madison Haden.
Evelyn graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas. She performed technical orders/inspection of jet engine parts for the Civil Service during WWII and worked an additional 10 years or so as office manager for a transportation company. She had two daughters and then went back to the Civil Service for 15 years. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in San Antonio. Evelyn enjoyed and excelled at China Painting for about 20 years and embroidered and gardened, as well. She played a mean game of bridge and was a great dominos partner.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park East, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster on Wednesday, July 6th at 10:00 am by Chaplain Nehiel Rojas.
