Florence “Bessie” MacFarlane Perry peacefully passed away on April 26, 2011. She was born on January 16, 1918 and was 93 years young. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth MacFarlane; brothers, William and Robert MacFarlane; husband, Richard Perry; and daughter, Elizabeth Koppa Scroggins. She is survived by her grandson, Danny Scroggins and his wife Melanie and children Mary Cate, Hannah and Joe of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Cathy Donner and her husband Chris and children Jessica and Joely of Round Rock, TX; and granddaughter Krissy Scroggins of Austin, TX; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Her family came to the U.S. from Scotland and she grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She lived most of her life in Houston and relocated to Round Rock, Texas in 2005 to be closer to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, auntie, grandmother and friend. She devoted her life to her family and was a member of the Ladies Guild, Lutheran Braille Workers and Hope Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed but will be welcomed in Heaven and rejoined with her family members who passed before her. We love you so much, Bessie!
