Fred has been a self-employed businessman his entire life. His strong work ethic and willingness to take risks helped create opportunities for a variety of jobs and build numerous businesses. But what he enjoyed the most was working alongside his sons in the pawn business for the last 16 years.
He loved to travel and lived his life to the fullest. A deeply spiritual man, and devout Catholic, he prayed that others felt what he did in the Spirit of the Lord, following the path that God has for each of us. His warmth and genuine compassion touched everyone he met, making them feel important and loved. His proudest accomplishment was his family. As the leader of his family, he instilled values of high moral character and forgiveness in his children and grandchildren. His desire for his children and grandchildren was they each strive to be a better person, both to themselves and to others, and to grow intellectually, emotionally and most of all, spiritually.
Fred was the epitome of a loving and dedicated husband, father, Grandpa, Pepa, and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will continue to live on in everyone’s heart as he was simply a gift from God. Through it all, Fred maintained his sense of humor, positivity, grace and dignity until the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ruby Bogar.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Judy Bogar, his children Fred, Jr. and wife Sherry; John; Karen and husband David; Bill and wife Lacy; grandchildren Jessica Bogar, Cassidy Bogar, John Paul Bogar, Luke Bogar, Ryan Lakner, Holly Lakner, Alyssa Bogar, Ryan Hanson, Maxine Hanson, and Mark Martinez.
