Gilbert Ray Reedy, 81 of La Porte, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. He was born in Galveston, Texas on June 5, 1935 to Edward and Margaret Reedy. He was married to Rose Marie Reedy for 49 years. Gilbert worked for Anheuser Busch for 32 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Gilbert had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Reedy; father, Edward Reedy; wife, Rose Marie Reedy.
He is survived by sons, Michael Reedy and wife Cheryl, Don Reedy and wife Debbye; daughter, Sheila Riggs and husband Darryl; grandchildren, Michael Reedy ll, Blake Riggs, Michelle Reedy and Taylor Riggs; great-grandson, Nickolas Garcia; sister Karen Banning and husband Howard.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. With the Rosary recited at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church 2921 Center Street, Deer Park, Texas 77536.
