Sonny was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1970, in Linden, New Jersey.
Sonny was the happiest and most precious baby you have ever seen. He always had the biggest, brightest smile on his face, and that smile is what anyone who met him always remembered about him.
He attended Ball High School's special education program and graduated in 1991, an accomplishment that his family will forever cherish. He loved being involved in community activities, especially the Special Olympics, where he participated in equestrian riding, bowling events, and track and field over the years.
In addition to his radiant smile, Sonny will always be remembered for his love of music. His joy and excitement for music were infectious. His favorite artist was Michael Jackson, and he could often be seen dancing, clapping, laughing, and singing just about every song Michael Jackson ever recorded. He knew them all by heart.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Bettye Jean Maheuron and Harry Irvin Maheuron, his sister, Bobbie Gayle Legros, and niece, Lisa Suzanne Johnson.
He is survived by his sisters Cheryl Sluder and husband Kevin (Friendswood), Susan Maheuron Johnston (Conroe), Daryle Schultz and husband Mark (Houston), brother Johnny Hubbard and wife Maggie (Conroe). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Brandon Bourque, Kristen LeCompte, Alyssa Sluder, Stephen Hester, Gayle Rodriguez, Michelle Pace, Jessica Cooper, and Darlene Hubbard, along with numerous cousins.
Sonny is also survived by his second family at A Treasure of Dreams, where he lived and enjoyed some of the most wonderful years of his life. In his last days, they surrounded our family with love and support and provided him with such loving care.
