Irene BeLue

She met Oscar James BeLue, Jr. from Tuscumbia, Alabama and was joined in marriage on May 20, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan and raised four children, two sons and two daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar “Jimmie” and both sons, Clarence “Jackie” and Michael.

Irene accepted Christ as her Savior on July 22, 1979 and was baptized at Canton Calvary Assembly of God in Michigan. She spent most of her career working in nursing homes as a dietician cook.

She moved to Texas after her husband of almost 45 years passed. She became a member of Bible Way Fellowship Baptist Church and continued her service in nursing homes at Manor Care Nursing Home in Webster, Texas.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Marlene Bruner (James) and Joyce Parnell (John) and daughter-in-law Janice BeLue, nine grandchildren: Monica (Greg), Clarence II “Jamie” (Marie), Yvette, Angela (Keith), James Jr. (Melissa), Patrick Katrina, Nita (Allen), and Maria; followed by a host of great grandchildren, friends and most everyone she came in contact with.

There will be a visitation held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Bible Way Fellowship Baptist Church located at 10120 Hartsook St. Houston, Texas 77034 from 12:00 to 1:00. Services will commence immediately after visitation.
