Jack Eugene Watson

He was proceeding in death by his parents Archie Lee Watson and Nana (Pretty) Watson, his wife of 57 years Joyce Ann (Griffin) Watson, his only sibling, Ione Watson; and daughter Terry Lynelle Watson, of Crockett, Texas.

Jack excelled in all High School Sports: Baseball, Basketball, Football, and the Track Team. He also managed and delivered newspapers in the local community faithfully. He was dependable and reliable in doing this job.

After graduation, he entered Officers Military Training.

Jack was a loyal 50-year member of the Masonic order of free and accepted masons. Initiated in 1962 at Eastgate Lodge #1153 in Pearland, Texas. Raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 1963. Affiliated with Lothrop Lodge #21 in 2001, of Crockett, Texas.

Jack served as Treasurer, Tiler, Chaplin, Junior and Senior Warden. Jack was awarded the highly respected Golden Trowel in 2009. If the lodge was open for business or closed for maintenance Jack was always there, doing his share

Jack was active and Central Baptist Church of Crockett, Texas, for 35 years; singing in the Church Choir, and as Secretary /Treasurer of his Adult Sunday School Class. He read his Bible, memorized scripture, and underscore special verses that ministered to him personally, making notes in the margin.

Jack married Joyce Ann Griffin November 15, 1960. To this Union two daughters were born Terry Lynelle Watson, and Tami (Watson) Houser, two grandchildren (Lauren and Caitlin), "the twins," and three great-grandsons: Elijah, 5 years old; Charles, 2 years old; and James, 3 months old.

Jack made the decision to marry again, after a sufficient amount of time had passed, instead of living alone. He married Arva Nell Andrews on March 25, 2016. They enjoyed being together, traveling and Worshiping God, sharing their faith with each other and the community. She was with him at bedside when he departed from this life to his eternal reward.
