James was married to his lovely wife, Mary Bridges, for 30 years residing in Galveston County. He was also employed with the Galveston County Fire Department for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Jessie Bridges, wife, Mary Bridges, brothers, Larry and Jack, sister, Linda, daughter Suezanne, and granddaughter, Maggie.
He is survived by son, Wayne, daughter, Marlene, sisters, Anne Ray and Libby, brothers Ronnie and Paul, and grandchildren Frankie, Billy and Ryan.
A visitation for James will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A Celebration of James' Life will be held Monday, February 8 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Immediately following he will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
