We know your hearts are heavy with such sadness and pain.  We are so very sorry for your loss.  Jimmy was such a very caring, kind and generous member of our family and he will be missed by all who loved him.  Our memories of Jimmy and his kind heart will always give us Peace and Peace begins with a Smile - “Jimmy’s trusting Smile.”

We live in England, over 20 years ago whilst on holiday in Jamaica, found ourselves on a catamaran cruise in a tropical storm.
Fortunately, we sat next to Donna & Jimmy & spent the entire time chatting & laughing. We knew then, we had made friends for life.

Fast forward a year & we were honoured to share their wedding day, which was magical. When the song “Hero” played, there wasn’t a dry eye on the beach. After that, we met each year, same time, same place

Roger & Jimmy dived together most days and always “buddied up” together each time. Jimmy was highly regarded as an accomplished, safe, responsible diver

Although thousands of mile separated us, each time we met, it was like we had only seen each other yesterday, tears of joy at our reunion & always tears of sadness as we parted
Thanks to Social Media, we were able to keep in touch & loved following their adventures 

We are so grateful for the time we all spent together, we will always hold Jimmy in our hearts & our love for you both will never, ever fade



I was so saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing.  I knew Jimmy from MDAnderson Cancer Center Research and Education Facilities.  Jimmy's outgoing personality, sense of humor and boundless talents made him an excellent employee and a friend.  My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel for Donna and the family.  I just keep shaking my head in disbelief.  Jimmy’s smile was infectious. He had a genuinely kind way about him that made you feel like you’d known him forever.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. ❤️❤️❤️

I was saddened to hear the news today about Jimmy's passing from a coworker. I worked with Jimmy and enjoyed his optimism, great work ethic and humour. Great guy that has left us way too early. God bless his family with strength during these times.

I Debbie Pierce knew him at MD Anderson. He was always kind and friendly to us in the department. I am sending my prayers  and condolences to his wife and family.

Our heart hurts for Donna and the entire family. We met Donna in 2014, and Jimmy soon after. We must say, they are some of the easiest people to love to be around. Jimmy was always smiling, so easy going and humorous. I have never met a couple more meant to be together. They were the forever newlyweds, you could feel and see the joy, humor, and love spark between them. Garrett and I will forever be grateful for our vacation to Jamaica with them.  We were able to meet their longtime friends Sue and Roger from England. One of the best vacations we have had as a couple.  Jimmy and Donna shared the best of themselves with everyone, and they always displayed a giving heart. I can’t think of a time, even on vacation that they didn’t have something to give or offer to someone else. They gave to charities, children, friends, anyone in need, and even those that weren’t in need. They just loved doing for others.   During the last few years, while on their RV adventure, our children regularly received post cards and little momentous from their travels. They couldn’t even be selfish in retirement, they had to share a little more than expected, even then.  Jimmy will be so missed. Rest in peace friend, knowing that your lovely Donna will never be alone and will be surrounded with the love of friends.  



My condolences to Donna and the family. Jimmy and I were tool buddies at MDACC a few years before he retired. We did a lot of good work together. He always had a kind word and a "Good Morning" for everyone he passed. He will surely be missed by all.

My condolences are with you and your family. Jimmy and I worked together for many years at MDAH. We had a lot of good times there. We  played softball and bowled together.Jimmy and I had the same birthday we use to celebrate together. I shall miss him.

Jimmy and I met on July 17th 1989 on my first day of work at M.D. Anderson cancer Center. He was my tool buddy on many jobs at the hospital . Jimmy was my hunting and fishing companion as we hunted in south texas for deer ,dove and quail for 33 years. We would bird hunt in the valley Labor Day weekend and wade fish our way back up the coast towards Houston the next week. We fished every coastal bay but the Sabine area during our salt water fish days. Our early days of our relationship consisted of black bass fishing with many fond memories as well. Jimmy never needed to shoot a deer when we hunted and most times we shared a stand and just talked about life happenings and such however speckled trout fishing was different now as he was very competitive. He always started out our conversations by saying hello buddy or hello young man. He always showed his love as we departed company with a hug. 
To say I will miss this man is the greatest understatement of my life.  Campfires in my future will always have a chair for you buddy! 

I remember the first time I met Jimmy. Donna had asked him to assist with our Magnet Journey project. Jimmy sat smiling from ear to ear with a hot glue gun in hand and laughing at Donna and my shenanigans.  You could see and feel his spirit anytime he was around her, they would smile and giggle like 2 young teenagers that had just fallen in love.  His smile I will never forget because it was infectious! Years later I  saw Jimmy again thinking definitely he had forgotten me, but I was wrong! He remembered my name,  greeted me with the biggest hug and chatted forever! He always made you feel welcomed and like family. You will definitely be missed Jimmy.
