It’s been a year today and I miss you so much. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you and keep your memory alive with Jaraiyah. She’s exactly how you predicted her to be. I wish you could have had more time with your great grand children, but I know your spirit is with them as they grow, I see it in Jaraiyah for sure every day. I love you so much. I’ll continue to carry you with me forever.

I meet Janet in 1966. I have so many fond memories of her. I remember her 1964 Mustang. She loved that car. A very cool car for a very cool lady. She once shared with me she wished she still had that mustang. We both enjoyed going to Galveston, hanging out together at the beach, and visiting my grandmother (she adored Janet and Janet adored her).  I can still hear Janet's enthusiastic laugh that always got other people to laugh along with her.  She had a natural gift for using words and ideas in a quick and inventive way to create humor.  That was her talent. She made you smile. I am sure she's using that talent in heaven right now. She was also a good listener.  I always thought of her as a healer with a kind heart.  I added a photo of us when we were both pregnant, Janet with her daughter, Debbie, me with my son, Colby.  This was in 1973. We drank a lot of root beer floats together during that time.  R.I.P. Janet was a fantastic supervisor and wonderful friend. She believed in me when I did not believe in myself! She was a fantastic teacher as well. She always told me she was grooming me for her position! God blessed me richly when He places her in my life. I will cherish every single memory of her I have! I know I will see her again.❤️

My dearest friend Janet
I’m so grateful to have known you .Seems like I’ve known you a lifetime.I’m going to miss our spontaneous road trips.. fishing trips.. our unique friendship.Most of all I’m going to miss your witty  sense of humor you always had .So many good laughs and good times we shared. But the beauty of a memory is that your always there . Love you my friend ♥️My prayers and love to the family and friends 

I have fond memories of my cousin Janet.  She took me to the Alamo while I visited with her family while on leave from the Army at Fort Hood in 1969.  Seems like just yesterday.  My condolences to her family and friends.  Rest in peace Cus.

My dearest friend, nearly 50 years of love and laughter with my friend Jan. She made everyone feel special and loved. She bought my son and myself our first rod and reels, so we could share her love of fishing with her. And boy do we cherish those memories.        The mold has been broken, not going to be another equal to Jan until resurrection day, when we can all share in a group welcome back hug. So very sorry to all her family. Love and prayers for you all! 💔💓💔💓💔💓                      

She was my nana Carols best friend and was a family friend that we considered one of our own. The endless laughter she always made sure we had is what I will always remember her by. She was such an amazing person and I loved her so much! 

Janet was I worked together for a few years.I remember that she always had a smile for you even in the darkest times.She LOVED to fish and always talked about her next trip.

There’s so many memories I had with my grandma, but the best ones were the ones when we were clowning around. It didn’t matter where we were or who we were with. She always had a silly remark to say that had me cracking up. She could definitely make light of any situation and make you smile quickly if you were feeling down. She always went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and had everything I asked for, even when she said no or she couldn’t at first, she made a way. I’ll never forget our adventures. Especially the late night ones, mostly as a teenager. We would go grab something to eat at like 1am or even go to Walmart and “fiddle faddle” around (that’s what she called it and I started saying that ever since). I definitely learned my spontaneous ways from her, amongst many other things. I will miss her soooooooo much, but I’m glad I have the memories and momentos to pass down to my children, grandchildren and extended family.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for Jan’s family.  We knew each other for 48 years and her and Rick were always a part of our lives.  We had some great times together and made a lot of memories through the years.  We loved Jan and she will be missed everyday.  Our love is with every member of her family in your time of grief.

During my dad’s final stay in the hospital, we had to “garb up” to be in his room. I’ll never forget us being in those plastic gowns, gloves and masks acting like we were medical personnel. We were still making little “medical” comments to each other when the doctors came in to talk to us and were giggling to ourselves with each comment. She had me take a picture of her all garbed up so she could send it to Rodney. Sure wish I took it with my phone instead of hers because  then I could have a snapshot memory of her doing one of the things I will miss most about her....that we could be goofy together to break up the heaviness of any situation. It’s hard for me to believe that now I won’t see her during some of those tough times when she was always there for us. Aunt Janet will be sorely missed!  Here’s an older picture of her, my Mom and Aunt Lynn...once again, she’s the one doing something funny!
