

John (Jay) William Holley, Jr., 65, of Dickinson, Texas passed away September 30, 2023. He was born in Cambridgeshire, England on March 31, 1958 to Mr. and Mrs. John William Holley. He worked for Andrew Logistics for seven years and some other companies like McKenzie, Beline, Groce Co., and Grondyke, just to name a few.
Jay was a hardworking man; drove a truck for 47 years of his life. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Debbie Holley for 37 years. He raised his son Trae Holley to the best of his abilities and stepped up to raise his grandson LJ and provided a loving and stable home. He took pride in loving his mother and wife by calling them daily on his long truck-drives through the United States.
He lived in Dickinson for the last 50 years and graduated from Clear Creek High School and spent some time in the US Navy. He was an animal lover who always took wonderful care of his dogs, cats, and birds.
He loved to cook outside on his grill and took pride in his fabulous rack of ribs. He enjoyed watching sports such as football, NASCAR, and baseball, especially his Astros! Jay was also an avid reader who truly enjoyed reading all of Clive Cussler books.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Holley. And survived by his wife Deborah Holley and their son John William Holley III; grandson John William Holley IV; sister Patricia Ray Rodgers; mother Julia Jeanette Fender Holley; nieces and nephews Natasha Rodgers, Holley Brown, John Rodgers, Ryan Ray, Cody Rodgers, and Kyle Rodgers; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A small service for Jay will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, 11:00 am at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
