Joy L Stastny

Joy Lee Stastny, 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. She was born on March 9, 1931 in Vernon, Texas to R. V. and Nellie Hopson. Joy worked at L &C Cafeteria since 1963 until its closing, she then transferred to Walgreens until her retirement. Even though mother and daddy were divorced years ago, they still stayed close together and mom died on their 60th wedding anniversary, which will always be a very special day for the family.

Joy is preceded in death by both parents; husband Leon Stastny; sisters Mozelle Kruse and Evelyn Walker & daughter Norma Lee McCurdy

She is survived by daughters Belinda Henry and husband Rocky; Judy McClain and husband Dennis; grandchildren Norman, Jacob, Johnny, Shelly and Ryan; great- grandchildren Mathew, Justice, Grace, Branson, Chelsea, Shelby, Ashley, Christopher and Marissa; sister-in-law Lillian Wade and many very dear nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers are as follows: Norman Henry, Jacob Henry, Rocky Henry, Ryan McClain, Dennis McClain, Johnny McCurdy, Shelly McCurdy and John McCurdy.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by memorial donations to Central Baptist Church Building Fund at 210 West X St. of Deer Park, Texas.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Frwy, Webster, Texas 77598, at 10:00AM on Saturday February 5, 2011 and Funeral Services will follow right after at 12:30PM.
