

Evelyn Kay Miller passed away on April 26, 2018
Known as "Kay" to all that knew her, thought of her as a pretty, pleasant and industrious person. Kay was born on April 29th, 1941 in Arkansas. Her parents moved from Charleston, Arkansas to Houston, Texas in 1950. Kay attended Houston schools and then Mary Webbs Cosmetology School and became a certified hairdresser. She married Jack Knight, and had two children, Malynda and Tim by him, and now has two grandsons, John and Dale Lambert and a great grandson Loucious. Also during her life, Kay attended St. Lukes Nursing School. Kay owned a Flooring and Carpet company and also worked as a sales lady at the boutique, Jill's Fashions and Bridals. She later went back in the flooring and carpet business with James Mask, her current husband. They semi-retired the last few years. Kay was known by all to be an excellent cook. For many years, Kay and James cared for her Mother, Ola Miller, in their home, until her death in 2000 at age 92. Her Daddy, Luther Miller had died in 1994. The family was so thankful and grateful for the care Kay gave to her Mother. In her later recent years, Kay helped care for friends known as James and Mary Lou Dues and George and Rusty Dues and the Dues family during the week for six years until Kay also became ill herself. Kay was known to have unending energy and strength throughout her life to work at whatever she pursued.
Funeral services will be held at Forest Park East on the Gulf Freeway in League City, Texas.
