

Lebert Jerald "Lee" Anthony, age 80, of La Porte, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Lebert Anthony was born January 19, 1940, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Charles and Inez Anthony. He was the oldest son with three siblings, Charolett, Barbara Kay, and Tommy Al.
Lebert attended Ardmore High School and was proud of his school all his life. After graduation, Lebert attended Oklahoma State University where he earned his degree in education and art. After graduating, he served two years in the army, which he considered as excellent training for becoming a teacher. Lebert married the love of his life Linda Marie Painter. He and Linda had three children, Kathryn Maire, Denise Diane, and Jerald Alan. They resided much of their life in Pasadena, Texas, where both Lebert and Linda worked for the school district. Lebert held various positions in the district, but retired from San Jacinto Intermediate where he was much loved by many. Lebert had a love of God all his life. He studied the Bible extensively and knew many stories and verses by heart. He attended various Baptist churches where he continued to worship until his death.
Lebert is preceded in death by his spouse, Linda Anthony. He missed her every day for the remainder of his life.
Lebert is survived by his beloved siblings, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and by many inlaws that he considered as both family and friends.
He will be missed greatly, but we rejoice his reunion with his wife in heaven. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lee Anthony will be held 5:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5:00 pm at Forest Park East Chapel 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
