Margarita Rios Salas

Margarita Rios Salas, 78, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home Saturday, May 8, 2021. Margarita was born January 17, 1943 to parents Rev. Pablo Rios and Eloisa Antu Rios. She married Jesus Salas and together they had 4 children. She is preceded in death by her parents Reverend Pablo and Eloísa Rios, her baby granddaughter Jessica Valle and her husband Jesús Salas.

She is survived by her children Jesus Salas Jr., Merissa Rios Barthelme & spouse James Barthelme, Joseph Salas, John Salas & spouse Tina Salas. Margarita had 8 grandchildren Rachel DeGuzman & spouse Xerxes DeGuzman, Veronica Valle, Danielle Valle, Gianna Salas, Gavin Salas, Dylan Salas, Briella Salas and Solara Salas.

Margarita was the matriarch and eldest of 13 siblings; Pablo and Liz Rios, Narciso Rios, Cruz and Susana Rios, Jovita and Robert Garcia, Eloísa and Camilo Ybarra, Esther and Roberto Escobar, Lea Schmeda, Frances Corpus, Mary Canales, Samuel Rios, Anita and Rudy Romero and Jerry and Julie Rios. As well as, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Margarita will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a service to start at 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will occur Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with a committal service to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
