Maria Guadalupe Valdez

Maria Guadalupe Valdez, a devoted and cherished member of her community, passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on December 12, 1937, Maria was a faithful presence in the lives of all who knew her. She was a resident of Brookshire, Texas, where she spent her days surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Valdez. She is survived by her four sons: Juan Valdez Jr. (Tammy), Eduardo Valdez (Belinda), Victor Valdez (Diana), and Jaime Valdez (Ana). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christopher (Erica), Emilio (Lexi), Victoria (Alfonso), Amanda (Renzo), Daniel, and Nicolas, as well as her great-grandchildren, Samuel, Cameron, and Conner.

Maria is also survived by her sister, Maria Villarreal, and her brother, Mario Renteria, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special loved ones who cared for her, Brenda Vazquez and Ermida "Reyna" Cruz, also remain to cherish her memory.

Maria loved the outdoors and found joy in crabbing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was passionate about cooking, especially making tamales, and treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren.

Maria Guadalupe Valdez will be remembered for her unwavering devotion and the warmth she brought to those around her.

A visitation for Maria will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The funeral service will be held on July 19, 2025, at 10:00 am. A graveside service will follow immediately after the service at Forest Park East Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
