Marjorie Vivian Stewart

Margie was born on August 17, 1932 in Horry County, South Carolina to Wade Malcolm Allen and Mariah Victoria Milligan. She married John Junior Stewart in South Carolina on December 15, 1949. They moved to Texas in 1952 to raise their growing family and make their home in Pasadena.

When Margie was not working at Nabisco or Continental Can Company, she enjoyed crocheting projects for her home and her loved ones. Rarely did the birth of a baby not inspire a crocheted blanket, booties, or a hat. She also loved to travel with her family and friends. In addition to work and hobbies, Margie was a devout Christrian and shared her love of the Lord as a member with the congregation at Elim Church in Houston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; her brothers Billy Roy, Gerald, Douglas, Joseph, and Mac; and her sisters Pearlie and Irma. She is survived by her four children: daughters Mary Jewel Voumard, Judy Vivian (David) Norman, and sons Jan Allen (Patti) Stewart, and Jerry David Stewart; her sister Mary Ellen (Allen, Johnson) Gray; and sisters-in-law Trudy (Twardowski) Allen and Janice (Bowen) Allen. Marjorie also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. All of these she loved deeply.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

A visitation for Marjorie will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A committal service will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
