

Michael began his career while still in high school, working pushboats and barge transportation all along the Intercoastal Waterway and the Mississippi River System. He developed a lifelong love of being a mariner as a result. From there he worked many years in the telecommunications industry in Houston. For the past 17 years he has worked in logistics, with his last job being a Manager IP & ES Projects - North America - Project Manager for CEVA Logistics.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Fuentes Jr. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline S. Norman Fuentes and his daughter Madeline C. Norman Fuentes. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Grace Brown; his sister Becky Morris and her husband Don Morris; his brother Bill Fuentes and his wife Linda Fuentes; his sister Stacey Fuentes and her partner Janice Garner; his sister-in-law Cherise Klug and her husband Larry Klug; and his brother-in-law Charles Norman and his wife Jody Norman. He is additionally survived by his nieces and nephews: Sarah Morris and her husband Garth Williams, Michael Paul Fuentes, Isabella Fuentes, Marisa Fuentes, Max Fuentes, Ian Klug, Evan Klug, C.J. Norman, and Kylie Norman. Michael also leaves behind a large extended family of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael’s big heart and generosity of spirit led him to love many things, but foremost was his love for his daughter, Madeline, his “Sunshine”. He loved his wife Jacqueline and the vibrant life they created in the historic Timber Cove neighborhood near NASA. He was known for making the most out of every moment; he loved simple pleasures such as dollar stores, old dogs, spiffy shoes, being on the water, and getting together with family and friends anytime he could.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at One Life Church, 381 Green Wing St., Webster, Texas, 77598. A reception will follow at the church.

Many of our friends and family are unable to join us today for Michael's celebration of life. We will be having a Facebook Live Stream for those that would like to join remotely.
