

She graduated from El Campo High School, obtained her LVN license from Wharton County Jr. College, she earned her Nursing Home Administrators License in 1971, and completed her education with an RN license from Amarillo College. She began her nursing career as a pediatric nurse, then found her true calling in caring for the elderly, when she began her nursing home career. Pat was remarkably successful in her many roles as a nurse, owner and operator of numerous nursing homes across Texas. She cared for countless patients, their families and staff members. She touched the lives of so many, she was a truly special, fun-loving, beautiful soul. She loved spending time with her family and many close friends. She lived a full life, enjoyed dancing, shopping, traveling, and playing a variety of games with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Barcelo, daughter Kathryn Phillips, mother Cleta Medford, father Dalton Medford Sr., brother Dalton Medford Jr., aunt Bobbie Heffenbrock and cousin Cindy Bucek.
She will be deeply missed by her children, daughter Vicki Morel and husband Joe, son Randall Svatek and wife Kimberly, daughter Terri Barcelo, son Joseph Barcelo, her grandchildren Jena and Justin Rayburn, Suzann and Justin Whitlow, Lindsey and Tyler Cockrell, Dixie and Trey Dryden, JJ Phillips, Dalton Mulvogue, Camryn Mulvogue, her great-grandchildren Joey, Atlas, Wesley, Jayne, Waylon, Leslie, and Elizabeth, her sister Sharon Wirth and husband Neil, many nieces and nephews, cousins, family members and dear friends.
