Peggy Ann Melton, 83, of Seabrook Texas passed away December 8, 2015. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Ulric and Anna Stevens. Peggy was an entrepreneur for many years in a furniture store and small cafeterias. She was a member of Creekmont Baptist Church and had a passion for crochet, reading, cooking and Peggy loved Jeopardy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulric and Anna Stevens and her son Gary Wayne Melton. Peggy is survived by her daughters Becky Holliday and husband Archie; Kathalene Jernigan and husband Joe; Lisa England and husband Tim; Son Marty Melton and wife Sandi; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; and numerous loving friends. The family wants to thank the staff at Harbourview Care Center for their loving care of Mama. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Peggy’s Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
