Peter Paul Franks Jr.

Peter Paul Franks Jr., 91 of Friendswood, Texas passed away on November 23, 2022. Pete was born in Galveston, Texas on April 16, 1931 to Peter Paul Franks Sr. and Helen Piatsun. Pete married Barbara Carlisle on November 22, 1952. They had four children Paul, Wayne, Mary Ann, and Larry.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Mary Ann, son-in law Robert, and three grandsons Anthony, Nathan, and Travis along with daughter-in-laws Barbara, Anna, and Stephanie. Pete is also survived by his great grandchildren Tristan, Kayla, and Bronson and his sister Kathleen and sister-in-law Laura.

Pete is preceded in death by his father Peter Paul Franks Sr., mother Helen Piatsun, sisters Tonka, Kose, Theresa, Dushonka, brother Zarko and three sons Paul, Wayne and Larry.

Pete worked for several chemical and pipeline companies before starting his own business called MEPCO Enterprises. He retired in 2017 at the age of 86. Pete’s passions were his Catholic faith, his family, aviation, and hunting.

Pete was a graduate of Kirwin High School in Galveston, Texas and later studied at the University of Houston. Pete served in the Air Force under General LeMay in the Intelligence Branch. Pete met his one true love, Barbara Carlisle, while serving at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. They were married for 70 beautiful years. Together, Pete and Barbara built a company that would become one of the most respected in the Gulf Coast. Pete was a pioneer in the early days of Vibration Analysis working with such greats as Ed Nelson, Charlie Jackson, Emmott Barnes, Malcom Leader, and Don Bentley. He mentored hundreds of people and his many employees became members of a very large extended family. Pete never met a stranger; his one-of-a-kind personality and sense of humor always left a lasting impression on friends, colleagues, customers, and employees.

An avid pilot, we know Pete is soaring through the clouds keeping his knots up and his wings level. One of Pete’s favorite sayings was “KEEP THE FAITH.” We will do just that until we see Pete again.

A visitation for Peter will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.

A funeral service will occur Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM , 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, followed by a graveside service at Forest Park East Cemetery.
