

Phyllis Elizabeth Johnson Tindall, born August 12th of 1925 in Galveston, Texas, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 6th at her residence at Focused Care in Webster, Texas, at age 96. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Dan C. Tindall, and son Dan E. Tindall. She is survived by her son, Michael Alan Tindall and wife Jennifer. Phyllis’s grandchildren were her love and focus for so many years. Dan P. and Elena Tindall, Kirk and Krystal Tindall, Fay Tindall Mayo and Aaron Samples, and Blake and Autumn Tindall. She loved spending time with all 13 of her great-grandchildren-Ariana, Maia, Alyssa, Autumn, Skye, Ella, Kirk, Isabel, Keanu, Kaila, Brielle, Adalyn and Trevor.
Phyllis grew up in Galveston, Texas, where she won Miss. Galveston, graduated from Ball High and worked at Schole’s Field during WW2. Later, she and Dan moved to the Bellaire area where she raised her two boys. They finally settled in the Kemah area where she was an active DAR member, part of the Kemah Garden Club, Red Hatters, shuttled her grandchildren to and from school, was at every baseball game and dance recital, and overall provided so much love for her family, that she can be coined as the “Best Grandmother ever!”
Her family is so grateful to the staff at Focused Care for their kindness over the years and are forever indebted to Hospice Plus for their guidance and support in her last days.
Phyllis will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She lived every second of her life loving and giving to all members of her family. She instilled how important and meaningful family is to her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that they will forever cherish.
A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be Saturday, April 9th at 1422 Bayshore Drive, Kemah, Texas 77565 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in League City, Texas.
