

Ray found pure joy in spending time with his family and friends and had a passion for the Houston Astros, Texans, and Rockets. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather!
Being a member of Houston's First Baptist Church, Ray had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, where he served as a Deacon and later a Deacon Emeritus. He shared his passion for the Lord and taught in the Youth Department for a few years. He even enjoyed playing a Disciple in the Houston Christmas Pageant under the direction of Gerald B. Ray.
Ray was honored to serve his country in the Marine Corps from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War, where he received four medals. After the service, Ray attended University of Houston. He worked for companies like International Switchboard (division of Stewart and Stevenson) and Baylor Company as a Sr. Buyer with a specialization in the purchasing of mostly highly technical products.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Carlos Boehm and Wayne Lee Boehm, Sr.
He has left behind to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 54 years, Eva J. Boehm; two sons Brandon Boehm and his wife Carey Boehm of Houston, Texas and Brock Boehm of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Luke and Lily Boehm; step-grandchildren Makenzie, Bailey, and Sawyer Schellberg; brother Jerry O. Boehm, Sr. and his wife Yvonne (Dee) Boehm of Arlington, Texas; sisters-in-law Jean Boehm of Sugar Land, Texas and Gloria Boehm of Tomball, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews whom Uncle Ray adored.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway Pasadena, Texas 77505 with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
