Richard Daniel Gallego

Richard D. Gallego, "Rick", 58, born in Laredo, Texas on October 22, 1955 to Paul & Consuelo Gallego, entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gallego, Jr., and survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Laura, son Robert (Leslie), daughter Corinne (Oziel), son Paul, and the new love of his life, granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by his mother Consuelo, sister Liz, brother Paul (MaryHelen) and sister Lorraine (Bruce), along with numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces. Rick was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to our family. He received a degree in Management and Accounting from the University of Houston as well as a law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Practicing law for over 21 years, helping all in need was his compassion. He would always say he loved his job. He was also a great role model to his children, nephews and nieces; instilling education to be successful in life. Rick loved family vacations to South Padre Island, cruises to exotic destinations and other out-of-town trips. His deep love for his family was demonstrated daily. He was also a man of great faith. He loved to laugh, make others laugh, and tell his great stories. He will truly be missed but we know that his memories and legacy will continue. Family and friends will be welcomed for visitation on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and a memorial service on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
