Robert Eric Gonzales

He was born in La Marque, Texas on February 24, 1968 to Judy McDonald and Robert Gonzales.

Robert graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and enjoyed a career in the construction industry for over 15 years.

He was known to us as Bobby, Bob, Robert, and Uncle Bob. He had a passion for cooking, socializing, entertaining, travel, politics, spending time with family and friends, and all things sparkly and designer! Bob had a heart bigger than life, and was known for giving the best bear hugs! He never met a stranger – he was everyone’s friend, and many people considered him their best friend. He genuinely cared about everyone in his life, and he brightened the life of everyone he knew. Bob was one of those people that loved you simply for being you.

He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Craig McDonald.

He is survived by his parents Judy and Bill McDonald, and Robert and Miriam Gonzales; his sister Shelley Mendoza and husband, Dan, along with their children, Regan and Eric; his sister Krista Pelayo and husband, Joe, along with their daughter, Alayna; his step-brother Ken Barth; his step-sisters Pam Hazley (husband John), Paula Davis (husband Glenn), and Marla McDonald; and 16 additional nieces and nephews.
